FINALLY, there’s a practice Accreditation that focuses on the health of your number one asset, your staff. There are many programs out there for the patient and client experience, but this is the first of its kind focused on the employee experience. Imagine a happier, more productive staff!

At the heart of this program is education and support! There are plethora of misconceptions in our industry that lead to high attrition rate, poor communication, poor culture and even high suicide rates. By educating and empowering staff, they become happier and better connected to one another. Practices will be provided support, resources and accountability. Imagine if Veterinary Medicine had the same level of standards for our employee’s health and wellbeing as it does for record keeping, patient care and safety. Well, now it does! The three phases of C-SAW provide hospitals what they need to draw the most satisfaction from the work we do, and the compassion we provide.

Details

Phase 1: 3-month veterinary wellness program for practice leadership

  • This phase runs every 3 months, so you will be part of a cohort for group support.
  • 1.5 hour webinar each month
  • Attended by Practice Manager, Medical Director, and/or Lead Technician
  • Educational topics throughoput program include Compassion Fatigue, Burnout, Work-Life Balance, Suicide Prevention & Awareness, and more!

Phase 2: Post-educational onboarding & Workplace Satisfaction Survey

Now that you have the knowledge and skillset to support your team, this phase provides you with an Employee Workplace Satisfaction Survey, employee wellness resources, tools to create a wellness committee, access to Certified Compassion Fatigue Professionals and more.

Phase 3: Bi-Monthly Webinars for Entire Team

Your entire team will get access to our online platform, where bi-monthly webinars and additional resources & activities will be uploaded on a variety of topics including Emotional Intelligence, Partner Support, Effective Communication & Conflict Resolution, and more!

Initial Accreditation Requirements

Normalize

  • Practice Leadership should complete the 3-month veterinary wellness program, conducted by VetSupport, Powered by Encore Vet Group.
  • Have each staff member complete the “Veterinary Employee Wellness Assessment” and submit to VetSupport, Powered by Encore Vet Group.

Support

  • Staff should stay up-to-date on the bi-monthly webinars and resources released on our online platform, which your team will gain access to after completion of the 3-month wellness program.
  • Provide staff with Employee Wellness Resources.

Empower

  • Have all staff identify a boundary that they would like to set (personal or professional) that will improve their job satisfaction.
  • Organize a core team to organize, and execute quarterly support meetings. This can be just for your practice, or include surrounding practices.
